The act of capturing hundreds or thousands of product images all with a consistent look and feel, lighting, and positioning is a huge challenge for most companies. Solenium’s Image Capture System is designed to handle this task in up top 30% less time, with exceptional quality results and saving you money.

Solenium’s Image Capture System has two main components:

• On-site Mobile Imaging Studios: To capture high quality, high volume images Solenium deploys on-site Mobile Imaging Studios that are shipped anywhere in North America. Why not have the imaging studio come to where the parts are instead of shipping thousands of parts to a remote photography studio?
  
  
• Illuminate™ Image Capture Software: Solenium’s mobile imaging studios are equipped with Illuminate™ image capture software which manages and controls the digital product photography process. With Illuminate, the image captured by the camera is uploaded to a database and associated to an image view, a part number, interchange numbers, a photographer, and a time stamp. Illuminate acts as the immediate repository for all images captured and ‘to be’ captured. Images can be sorted by part number, interchange, supplier, part category and image view. Illuminate also acts as a communication channel to Solenium’s Image Extranet for project and image management. Simply click the ‘upload’ or ‘update’ button and Illuminate uploads all captured images to the Image Extranet and downloads the current parts list, personnel security information and the status of all images in the library.
  

On-site Mobile Imaging Studios

Solenium’s mobile on-site Imaging Studios provide a unique way for companies to quickly and efficiently photograph thousands of parts without shipping parts to an off-site photographer or to set-up a less productive, expensive home grown photography studio. The following are some of the features of the on-site imaging studios;

• Professional photographers handle all phases of image capture on-site at your facility while the images are processed in Solenium’s off-site image postproduction center.
  
  
• Mobile Imaging Studio set-up is in close proximity to the parts through a compact photography studio.
  
  
• Capture up to 200 images a day of parts of any size and weight.
  
  
• Part images are captured in high-resolution format allowing them to be quickly and easily delivered in multiple sizes and formats for both electronic and print media.
  
  
• Meet quality, size and formatting requirements of all industry standards, including NAPA, Advance, Carquest, AAIA, Activant and more.

Illuminate™ Image Capture Software

Illuminate™ Image Capture software operates on the Mobile Imaging Studios. The software is designed to control the photography process allowing the photographer to track:

• The part numbers that have been photographed.
  
  
• The part numbers that need to be photographed.
  
  
• The image views required for each part.
  
  
• The total number of images to be taken per part category.
  
  
• The total number of images that have been taken per part category.
  
  
• The images which have successfully been uploaded to the Image Extranet.
  
  
• The images that need to be uploaded to the Image Extranet.
